The Vision

The ‘Contour C-Table’ was born from a desire to create a decor product accessible to a wider audience, moving beyond exclusive luxury commissions. Inspired by the challenge of scrap wood, this concept was designed as a stylish yet affordable solution for modern living. It functions as a minimalist statement piece for displaying decor and a convenient workspace for those working from home—a perfect spot for a laptop and a coffee while catching up on emails or your favorite shows.

This project was a turning point for The Furnology Lounge, maturing our approach to design and sustainability. It allowed us to see how we could create functional, beautiful objects while saving money and reducing material waste.

The Craftsmanship & Design

The table's facade is an immediate attention-grabber, a result of meticulously assembling pieces of leftover plywood to highlight the end grains. This unique aesthetic is the reason it's called the ‘Contour C Table’, as the natural contours of the wood create a visual statement.

The structural integrity and minimalist design are a direct result of a carefully engineered tongue and groove joint system. This method keeps the design sleek and simple, minimizing the need for visible hardware while ensuring the table remains strong and durable.
