Modern Oak Exhibition Table
The vision for this piece was to build an elegant table tailored to a 150-pound display—a centerpiece that would anchor a client's conference room and tell their company's story. The challenge was to create a piece with uncommon dimensions, one that would be a perfect companion to the display rather than just a stand for it.
The solution was crafted from red oak, with a matte black interior layer that provides a deep visual pop, emphasizing the wood's natural texture and grain on the facade of the table edges. The biggest challenge was in the build of the legs and structure; our intent was to completely conceal the support structure behind the facade of the tabletop. The legs themselves were meticulously tapered to minimize bulkiness, creating a sense of weightlessness while still possessing the strength to support the dense, narrow display. This focus on hidden engineering and elegant form is what elevates the table from a functional surface to a true exhibition piece.
